The First 24 Hours: Day 17 — Bhai Partyyy!

No matter where you live, there will always be someone who is unnecessarily excited about his/her birthday doubting your excitement hormones for treating your birthday as a normal day.

I am that kid!

Maybe you won’t believe but I have a plan for my next birthday by the end of my ongoing birthday. I was that kid who used to treat everyone from the principal to the watchman and has special quotas(and types) of chocolate for students depending upon their level of friendship with me.

I used to believe that everyone is(and should) be this much excited but the process of perceiving birthdays has changed over time. I am from an engineering college where the boy’s birthday means his death(BPL and the attached torture) and girl’s birthday means a picture with fairy lights on the top of every human in the picture.

Also, I have noticed that the “Happy Birthday“ has evolved as a “Bhai party” and is now extended to many relatable and/or not relatable domains.

Last night, I was having a conversation with my friend and she told me about her lost excitement for her special days because the people around do not connect…
